This spring Castle Hill wedding will have you feeling lovely all over. It made me happy and hopeful for good weather and good things to come in 2016 on the day we photographed it, and I feel that way reliving it on the blog today.
We started the day with one of our favorite vendors, Jennie Kay and her team down in the sweet little sea side cottages at Castle Hill Inn.
Jennifer and Michael got ready next door to each other…
…and we planned their first look outside the front door of Jennifer’s cottage.
We did not plan for Michael to gallantly kiss Jennifer’s hand, that was all him. #groomcrush
Jennifer and Michael hail from much warmer climates. They surely took a chance planning an April wedding in Newport. However, their faith was rewarded with a pastel day, free of wind.
When we got Jennifer into position in this location, she took our breath away with her fresh natural beauty, her bouquet by Stoneblossom matches the mood perfectly.
Michael and Jennifer are beautiful together, he absolutely dotes on her and couldn’t stop saying that he was the luckiest man in the world.
I think Jennifer was in heaven, canoodling with Hazel her sweet flower girl and admiring her beautiful mother. She kept saying, “Isn’t my mom so pretty?” Yes!
One of the cutest quotes from the day was mother-daughter related. Jenn said to her mom, “Did you see the sweet pea they put in my bouquet?” Then she turned to us and explained, “Mom calls me sweet pea!” How adorable is that?
The nicest of friends.
A quick snuggle on the porch before heading off to the ceremony.
Trish’s mission: Get one photo of the ring bearer {an otherwise very happy little guy} where he is not crying. Check!
Hazel’s unhappy crying {on the left} with her dad “walking her down the aisle” … Hopefully on her own wedding day, she will have an expression more like Jennifer’s!
Jennifer can’t even believe it’s real, she’s a Mrs!
Whisked away by CH chariot to the lighthouse for photos!
J + M LOVE this lighthouse, a killer photo was a must have. I think this one needs to be in a place of honor in their house don’t you?
A nice perspective of Castle Hill before we head off to the reception…
Spring has sprung in the Castle Hill dining room too, thanks to Stoneblossom.
Michael surprised Jennifer with a special dance, and she thanked him in her toast for, “Letting extraordinary light into my life.” Michael countered that compliment with his own, “A lovely heart goes a long way.” True. True….Sigh.
This spring Castle Hill wedding was such a sweet and special way for us to kick off our 2016 season. Thank you Jennifer and Michael for being so wonderful, so romantic, and so in to photos! You’ve set the bar high! XO Mariah and Trish
Perfect wedding and gorgeous photos! Touching story told by Mariah and Trish of this day. Loved seeing all the surprise photos I didn’t even know you two were taking. Love them all!
Thank you Trish and Mariah for the absolute best wedding experience! Not only are you both the absolute sweetest and most fun to be around, but you were also invisible! I don’t know how you captured so many great photos when I didn’t even realize you were there! I’m touched that you’ve recalled so many meaningful moments from our day. We’re lucky we could share it with you and that we’ll be able to remember it always through your beautiful photos. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Most magical wedding I have been a part of !!! The photos really capture the joy and love of the occasion . The austere beauty of the rocky beach juxtaposed with the softness of the wedding clothes was magic. One feels the breeze from the billowing dresses. Thanks for sharing !
