Ah, a September wedding at Castle Hill… when you get a day like Jason and Beth got this past fall, there’s nothing better.
This gorgeous autumn afternoon could not have been bestowed on two nicer people. To put it mildly, Beth and Jason are really good eggs; kind, loving, gracious, and caring.
They’re also smart, and so they had Leila Ryan Events to make the whole day (to use a sea-side cliche) smooth sailing.
The couple sets the tone for their day.
Everyone invited takes the cue from the couple on how the vibe should go, and so we started the day following Beth’s laid-back lead!
Did I mention Beth is also thoughtful and sentimental?
She’s a fantastic role model for her two nieces. I’m sure they want to be just like their Auntie Beth!
So stinking cute!
Getting Ready
Getting dressed with a little help from mom and sis.
Checking on the completed bridal look.
Meanwhile, Jason’s getting into trouble … I mean getting into his groom’s attire.
Are you kidding, Jason is a dream fiancee. Romantic, attentive, and rather dashing in his suit.
Here’s eleven of his best friends who can attest to his awesomeness.
Finishing touches before the first look.
These photos happened simultaneously in different rooms. I can’t even with this cuteness.
Jason is practicing his strut while Beth perfects her cascade… and hopefully they’ll be meeting for the first look momentarily.
Beth is delayed for a moment by well-wishes.
The First Look
Jason waiting patiently for Beth.
She’s worth the wait!
This photo epitomizes a September wedding at Castle Hill.
Grace Kelly beach is our favorite spot for a romantic get away LOL.
Not only is it a great place for some smooching, but also for bridal portraits. 😉 Channeling a little Grace Kelly, herself.
Allison Barbera created Beth’s beautiful bridal hair and makeup.
Fig and Squill created all the beautiful florals, including this stunning bouquet!
It’s the little things, the personal touches, that make the day special.
In September, the ocean looks so blue in the photos, even more so in October! Beth and Jason’s wedding was the 28th, prime time for blue at a September wedding at Castle Hill!
Such a delicate, pretty bouquet!
Look at that blue and those smiles!
The Formal Portraits
We love to do the formal portraits in the garden, the light is soft and even in this spot, it’s perfect for family photos! How’s this for a cute little family?
We started with the ladies, the littlest ladies first.
Then, the lovely bridesmaids. This color blue is so gorgeous on everyone!
The whole bridal party! Isn’t this spot dreamy?
Handsome fellas.
Next up, family pics. All the combos …
… all the adorable in between moments …
… all the VIP’s accounted for!
This is a special photo of Beth and her sister. They both had serious surgeries when they were young. Beth had back surgery, and her sister had heart surgery.
This is their sisters with scars photo. #strongamazingwomen
Processional time! No rush … LOL.
Time for this beautiful Miss to become a Mrs.
The Ceremony
Such a lovely view for for the couple and the guests alike.
The I Do’s.
Married!
Just Married Photos
We love to take our couples for ten or fifteen minutes of just married photos right after the ceremony. When we’re extra lucky, the sunset coincides.
This is a Snap classic, we always take this shot. You can’t lose with this view!
Then, we also get photos like this, which in my opinion, are even better.
Sorry not sorry in advance for all the lovey-dovey sunset photos below. I couldn’t narrow it down, they’re all so sweet!
This one is my fave though.
We love LOVE!
We got them back in time for the tail end of the cocktail hour! Castle Hill makes the most delicious food! Don’t want to miss that. 😉
Pretty details and comfy places to lounge. Plus, I spy an engagement album of Snap pics! We shot Jason and Beth’s engagement photos in NYC last spring.
Reception Details
Talk about setting the scene! This cake from Confectionery Designs ties the whole reception together! It’s so pretty!
Beth and Jason gave all of their guests these very special caramels. You can’t tell from this photo, but they were huge and so delicious I can almost taste them!
Remember I said Beth and Jason were thoughtful? They may have saved a couple of them for the Snap girls! We ate them in about five seconds. Ha-ha.
Beautiful!
Party Time
When your bustle breaks half-way through the first dance, but it doesn’t stop you from tearing up the dance floor.
Sweet toasts.
Sweet slices.
Hora time!
Table of temptations. Don’t resist, dig in!
East Coast Soul Band kept the party going.
A little break in the dancing for some cool night air …
…and a special last photo for the album!
