The day was sweet and sunny, a perfect summer day for a Salve Regina and Castle Hill wedding. Our bride and groom are sweet and sunny too.
Monica is sweet and Jonathan is sunny, but then again Monica is also sunny and Jonathan is very sweet. It’s a real joy to see two people so suited for each other get married.
How lovely is the back of Monica’s gown? It’s a Jim Hjelm. And even lovelier, her pretty face. Hair and Makeup by Jennie Kay Beauty.
Monica and Jonathan gave each other beautiful cards and thoughtful gifts. Look at their happy faces, too cute! I love this tradition, M & J gave each other classic gifts; a watch for Jonathan, a necklace for Monica.
Monica takes in the view from the balcony of 41 North before we head to Salve Regina for the ceremony.
Monica and her father arrive at church in a classic car from Rockstar Limo. Monica is the kind of daughter who makes her parents proud. She’s smart, beautiful, kind, and successful. it might have been hard to give her away if Jonathan was not the one waiting a the end of the aisle!
The big moment! So much anticipation!
The I Do’s.
Sealing the vows with a kiss.
Mr and Mrs!
After the ceremony we walked across the street for some formal photos. The nice thing about the Salve Campus is that there is no shortage of pretty locations and ornate gates!
This spot had the three things we look for in a location; soft even light, a dark backdrop, and some interesting texture. Perfection!
The wedding party is smart in their navy blue. The pops of color in their bouquets are a nice touch. Flowers by Stoneblossom.
So many ways to work those gates!
We also made a quick stop at Brenton Point for a little ocean view romance.
It was hard for Monica to scale this hill in her Jimmy Choo heels. No problem, Jonathan picked her up like a little pint of peanuts and carried her to safety. Sweet.
Family Formal Portraits in the garden. This shot is for the future little Monica and Jonathans… a photos of mom and dad with both sets of grandparents. Love this shot!
A more relaxed photo of the bridal party on the lawn at Castle Hill. We like to make sure we get a formal and a casual!
Love me a ring shot- throw in some champagne too for good measure.
The lighthouse at Castle Hill. We photograph at this spot a lot but we always try to make it look a little different then the last time.
Of course, some angles are just classic must haves! The coast, the Inn, the Newport bridge, and a schooner? Yes!
Golden Hour at cocktail hour.
Signature cocktails! One of my faves, spiked blueberry lemonade…. not that I had one…
Gorgeous peachy details inside the tent: Florals by Stoneblossom, Cake by Confectionery Designs, Linens by Rentals Unlimited.
Adorable Intros.
Love these sweet and tender moments.
A crowd pleasing toast! Easier said then done!
Slicing into that gorgeous cake and viva la twinkle lights in the background!
Special Dances with First Loves.
Squeezing the last bit of sweetness and sun out of this sweet and sunny day!
Monica and Jonathan, You two were amazing to spend the day with. Thank you for having us as at your Save Regina and Castle Hill wedding. We laughed so many times. We love you individually and we love you as a couple. Seriously… neva change!
LOL XOXO Mariah and Trish {Your Biggest Fans}.
And now for…
BEHIND THE SNAPS
We’ll start it off with our tiny friend Jennie Kay. She’s sweet and petite just like Monica. She needed a little vertical help to get that veil in.
Follow the pack mule…err… I mean Mariah, to the prim-o photo location.
Um Trish, the bride would like her bouquet back.
Dueling photographer/videographer combo. Our buddy Mike Picard was on hand to document the day too!
Thank you Mariah and Trish for all your kind words and most importantly your tireless efforts to make all of our memories of our special day one we will never forget. Sorry it has taken Jon and I so long to write a comment, forgive us as the last few months have been quite wild and busy! We can’t describe the joy and smiles we had going through this blog…..it is perfect! You captured the best photos, and the descriptions are so well written to describe exactly how each of these moments took place! Looking back on these photos and the descriptions really bring us back to that special day of June 26, 2016. Jon and I always knew that you two would be everything we wanted and more in photographers for our BIG day, but we never thought that we would have made two new friends after all of this! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being the BEST photographers and capturing all the special moments of our wedding day!
Love,
Monica and Jonathan
Aw, thank you so much for such kind words M & J. The good feelings are mutual. We love you both! XOXO M & T
