Cara and JP and Sumo their pup put the Boston into our Boston engagement session. First of all, they chose two of my favorite locations; the Boston Public Garden and the Charlestown Navy Yard. Secondly, well Sumo is a Boston Terrier, so there’s that. Well he’s partly Boston Terrier… the other part is I think adorable alien bat creature? I just smile looking at him, is he not the funniest, cutest little dog you ever saw?! He was so enticing, so utterly impossible to resist that Trish {who is wildly allergic to dogs} risked her health to be close to him… more on that later.
We started out at the Boston Public Garden. Cara was so pretty in her cornflower blue dress, the perfect shade to match her gorgeous blue eyes. JP did not seem to mind gazing into them.
There’s something really sweet about this photo. Framer!
Although this one is pretty darn cute too and includes the whole family!
Sumo was a perfect boy for the session. He had brought along a favorite toy and was pretty fixated on it which made it easy for us to get his attention. For some reason, Trish decided she would hold the saliva covered ball so that we could get Sumo looking in our direction. Trish is allergic to dog saliva… hives, wheezing, the whole nine yards. Yeah… that was a bad idea.
That being said, if you are going to bring your doggie along for your shoot it’s a good idea to bring something that you know will get his attention like a favorite toy. If your dog is food motivated don’t forget the treats!
Like I said, Sumo was kind of worth the risk though. Right?
Cara and JP- we can’t wait to end our 2016 season with your fabulous wedding. We only regret is that we have to wait so long for it!
I think Trish also regrets sticking her finger in her eye on the ride home, you know… the one covered in Sumo spit? She looked like she had gone a few rounds in the ring by the time we crossed back into Rhode Island. Oh well, anything for you and anything for our baby boy Sumo! Thanks for having us up to your neighborhood for a fun Boston engagement session! XO M&T
Thanks for capturing us, Sumo and our favorite places in Boston so beautifully! We had so much fun with you and can’t wait to have you with us on our day in November!!
