Danielle and Bobby’s Newport Marriott Hotel Wedding
This gorgeous Newport Marriott Hotel Wedding took place in November of 2018. We have so many favorites from this day! We’ve highlighted some of the photos on Instagram, but hadn’t been able to blog it in it’s entirety, until now! Yay for down-time and revisiting some beautiful weddings from the past! The Newport Marriott is the perfect venue for a fabulous off-season soiree.
Getting Ready
I LOVE Danielle’s romantic wedding gown. It’s so dreamy!
Danielle had her hair and makeup done at the Spa at the Newport Marriott, a lovely space with lots of room to spread out and relax.
This was an early November wedding – Can you tell from this photo? Forecast? Grey skies and more than a chance of rain showers!

Shooting inside a hotel, particularly when the weather doesn’t allow for outside photos can be challenging.

Dodging Raindrops
The wet weather stopped long enough for us to brave the outdoors. This walkway is just outside the hotel.
This dock is also just outside the hotel. How fabulous is this?! It screams Newport. I think the grey skies are perfect for this shot. I shot this from the sidewalk with a long lens to make it look like the boats were a lot closer than they actually were. Fun Photo trickery!
This is more what it looked like to the eye. Love this too!
Isn’t this so cute? Clear umbrellas are a must on a rainy day. We have to keep buying them because we leave them everywhere we go by accident.
Time to Get Married

Breath of Fresh Air
Blue light! We stole the bridal party for a few more photos. The rain had stopped and the sky was a fantastic color at twilight.
We love a twinkly night time photo! These were made extra twinkly with some snazzy lighting, a long lens, and the raindrops.
