Marilyn and Pam are two strong, brilliant, amazing women who as doctors spend their days making tough decisions under stressful conditions. Take them out of their element and drop them into a Castle Hill wedding and they are totally out of their comfort zone…. OR SO THEY THOUGHT…. {and so did we because that’s what they told us}. Lies!
First of all, Marilyn and Pam, self proclaimed NOT girly girls showed up to the party wearing Manolo Blahnik & Jimmy Choo. Hmm… In addition to the fabulous footwear they were quite fetching in their ruched dresses in complimentary shades of blue. At the insistence of Pam’s daughter Bridgette, they both embraced having their hair and makeup professionally done. Imagine our surprise when we had a couple of knockouts cascading toward us for the start of the photos!
Pam, who told us {repeatedly} that she HATES having her photo taken became an instant photo director and I venture to say might have even enjoyed the photo experience. However, we have Marilyn to thank for allowing us to be a part of their joyful day. Early on Marilyn came to realize the importance of professional photos, a portrait of their family of four, and documenting this monumental day in all their lives. Luckily securing a photographer was left in Marilyn’s hands and Pam was trusting enough to go along with our crazy ideas.
It was so important to Pam and Marilyn to have photos of all their friends and family. They managed to make everyone feel like a special and important part of their day. When it came time for toasts, instead of having people get up and talk about them, Pam and Marilyn grabbed the microphone and made a point to say something unique and kind about all the guests in attendance. It was so heartwarming. We’ve never seen that done before, and it was an amazing way to honor everyone that has been so supportive of them.
It was a treasure to see these ladies let down their hair and take some cake to the face. What a shining example they are as women and as a couple!
