Katy and Greg planned an elegant Belle Mer Wedding with a black and white theme. The decor was crisp and modern, with clean lines. The evening was simple and sophisticated, or “simplisticated” as my thirteen year old daughter would say. Speaking of daughters, you know what’s never black and white? Raising one! Or how about two? Our handsome groom Greg, is made only more appealing by the fact that he is dad to two gorgeous daughters, Madison and Brooke. As capable and loving as Greg is, it had to have been tough navigating the tumultuous waters of bringing up girls. Luckily he met someone very special, and it definitely takes a special kind of person to step into the roll of stepparent. I’m a step mom myself but prefer to refer to myself as a friend-sister-auntie-mom, because when your a step mom your role is not very black and white and you have to wear all those hats, sometimes all in the same day!
Katy traded in her hats for a veil on this day and slipped into her role as the gorgeous bride as beautifully as she handles her step-mom-ness.
Cue the sailboats and the lip gloss please.
Love these photos of Greg and Katy getting ready with their besties. Taken at almost the same moment, they’re nearly mirror images of each other! #onthesamepage
Katy and Greg had a really cute first look, triple glamour with three lovlies for the big reveal! Greg’s reaction was priceless for his leading ladies!
Family Portrait. Perfection.
Kisses for baldy, I mean daddy.
So happy!
It was a bit of a blustery day, but Katy and her veil worked it!
A little alone time while the girls were distracted! Very important!
Classic Belle Mer wedding with a healthy dose of cuteness!
Love the way these two look at each other!
Family Time.
Guess who this pretty grandma is? Look like Katy much? Genetics are cool.
Cool women are a reoccurring theme in Katy’s life, here she’s walking down the aisle with her sassy and fashionable mom!
Sunset ceremony.
Katy making that man her husband! Smart girl!
I love how sweet Katy and Greg are with Madison and Brooke! There wasn’t a second in the day that they didn’t include them. Good stuff.
The best seat in the house for a Newport sunset.
Fabulous touches of black and white. I also love the silver urchin votive holder. Florals by Stoneblossom.
Katy and Greg’s fur baby made an appearance too- at least in the form of a cake topper! Could this family get much cuter?
First dance canoodling, music by Nightshift.
And the moment you’ve all been waiting for… {well at least the flower girls}… chocolate fountain time!
Since we’re on a sugar kick, how about some cake to round out that chocolate fountain?
Sneaking in a little more alone time and a quality hug. Katy and Greg, you did it! We can tell that you are going to be awesome partners in all that you do! You’ve got more than enough of what it takes! XO, Mariah and Trish
LOVE LOVE LOVE! You ladies did an amazing job and I am so excited to see the rest of the photos. Thank you so much for capturing more than just our wedding day – these are memories we will cherish forever!!
