If variety is the spice of life, then Newport is curry! Where else can you find beautiful beaches, quiet wooded paths, and and a historic seaside downtown? Katie and Matt sampled it all in their Newport engagement session. Trish met K & M at their first location, Third beach which is “technically” in Middletown, but close enough! Of all the Newport beaches, this is my favorite. It’s quiet and chock full of beautiful textures. It’s especially lovely in the off season, but isn’t all of Newport lovely in the off season?
Katie and Matt have a really cool back story. They met at a restaurant in Manhattan and then discovered they had actually gone to the same highschool and graduated in the same year! Talk about destined for each other! These two were on a collision course to love. This is still third beach, isn’t that fence to die for?We LOVE ourselves a little sparkly ring on shell action!Katie and Matt just bought a home in Vermont! We are channeling a little Vermont-ish-ness here with our wooded path and fabulous outfit change. Clearly K and M are very stylish, they look like they stepped right out of a catalog. This location is the Norman Bird Sanctuary, right down the road from Third beach. They are so coordinated with nature! The next best thing to fall foliage has to be fall fashion, who doesn’t love a gorgeous sweater and boots? We’ve never done an engagement session in this spot before, it’s so dreamy and just so autumn!Last stop was Bowen’s Wharf. You can always count on some nice nautical touches on the wharf.
Katie and Matt are getting married at the famous and coveted St Mary’s Church. Apparently there are a lot of Kennedy jokes going around compliments of their parents. When in Newport…snuggle with boats in the background of course. Can’t wait for the momentous day next September! And can’t wait to see the wedding day fashion, we know it’s going to be glamorous!Engagement Session Tip: Katie had her hair and makeup done by Jennie Kay Beauty, having your hair and makeup done before an engagement shoot is a great idea!
