Marissa and Ramon threw a Classic Boston Public Library Wedding and it was the perfect venue for this amazingly bright couple.
Marissa is fabulously detail oriented and she had a lovely watercolor map of Boston at the ready for my ring shot.
Marissa got ready at the TAJ Hotel.
Talk about classic, this dress! The designer is Modern Trousseau.
Marissa has wonderful parents who are so proud of her. 🙂
I love working with families like this, who are not only warm to each other but gracious and welcoming to everyone around them.
Marissa’s rocking her dress… and pockets are the BEST!
Marissa and her girls enjoy a bit of bubbly before the first look.
Meanwhile, at the Westin Copley Square, Ramon had a killer view of the city and the courtyard of the BPL! The city was sparkly and summery for us, thanks Boston!
Ramon getting a little help from his dad with his bow tie. Nice to have an expert on hand.
Ramon is …. so handsome!
These are the kinds of things they should teach you in college, Black Tie Event 101 – first lesson… Pocket Square Folding.
Luckily Ramon’s grandmother was on hand to make sure the boys were presentable.
This is a classic photo, but one that has fallen by the wayside in popularity. I think the moms expect that we will take it! It’s sweet, let’s bring it back!
A libation for the boys as well before the first look!
We planned for Marissa and Ramon’s first look to take place in the Boston Public Garden. It was close to the hotels and is a stunning spot for photos.
Ramon and Marissa made their way over separately, with Ramon arriving (nervous) and first.
The big moment … under the shade of a weeping willow!
Marissa told me that she and Ramon were most excited for, “Photos of us beaming at each other during the first look.”
Check and check. It wasn’t hard, they were beaming at each other all day.
Strolling through the park, it appears that Ramon and Marissa were the people there! In reality, the park was jam packed with people but we chose our moment and our locations carefully!
This photo really shows off what a perfect day they got!
After the first look we drove over to Beacon Hill for some photos with Old Boston Flair! There’s nothing like cobblestone and historic architecture!
Next, we met the family and the bridal party back at the Public Gardens for the formal portraits. You’d never know, but we were surrounded by picnic goers and bubble blowing kids in this spot!
Love this view!
Sweet portraits of Marissa and her awesomely attentive older sister, Tess.
The light just kept getting prettier and prettier! We snapped until the last moment when Ramon had to jet off to the church.
Once the men left for the church, we took a few more bridal portraits.
Marissa had sprinkled a little swan theme into the wedding decor so she thought it would be cool if we could sprinkle some swan into the photos too.
The ceremony was held at The Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
It’s good to have ladies who are perpetually helping 🙂
Love these big but quiet moments just before the ceremony starts.
The “I do’s.”
Now that’s a dramatic aisle!
Arriving at the library just in time for a signature cocktail!
This location is magical. I absolutely love shooting in this courtyard.
Stunning views inside as well.
We love this shot so much we chose it as our ad for Bliss Celebrations Magazine 2018. Classic, romantic, lovely … it ticks all our boxes.
Having a little fun with the architectural elements!
Simple, pretty details to complement the stunning venue.
These two really need no introduction but TA-DA anyway!
Fantastic toasts from the Best Man and Matron of Honor.
Cake cutting … I see swans, do you?
Marissa cracked the whole room up when in her speech, she promised never to take Ramon’s cheekbones for granted! LOL!
Ramon and Marissa are fantastic partners on and off the dance floor.
May this be just the start of many magical evenings of romance for Marissa and Ramon!
