Boats and Blooms in Boston’s youngest neighborhood – Seaport!
Theresa and Sam show the Snappers where they’ll be getting married this July.
Photos by Linda and Cloud: Associate Team
Linda and Cloud met Theresa and Sam for their Boston Seaport Engagement session so they could get the lay of the land. There’s no couple more qualified to give the snappers a walking tour of the area … Sam and Theresa live in the neighborhood. Actually, they can see their wedding venue from their apartment. They are truly planning their July wedding and reception on home turf!
Theresa and Sam are tying the knot at Our Lady of Good Voyage. {By the way, what a fitting name for a church. Surely, that must be a great marriage omen!} Although, I’m not sure they need any extra luck- Theresa told us that she knew immediately that Sam was the one. She said she saw him and thought, “He could be the groom!”
These love birds met on a Monday and spent Wednesday- Saturday together! Sam said he was, “very clear about his feelings!”
Thank you! If you feel it, why not express it?! No dumb dating games for these two!
See where honesty and vulnerability got them? … Headed to the altar that’s where! Their reception will be at the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center, which is where they met Linda and Cloud for their photos!
Love both of these images! It’s important to incorporate a wide variety of perspectives into the engagement photos {even though there’s limited time to do it}. We wouldn’t want all of your pics taken from the same angle and height. With this intention, mixing up lens choice is important as well. The photo on the left is a great perspective of the city, cute pose, and full length to show the clothes and the height of the buildings. The photo on the right is a great, classic, close-up portrait with an intimate, flattering angle.
Romantic! A creative way to show off the ring -bling.
Not going to lie, this pose feels dumb when you’re doing it- and it makes you go cross eyed … BUT… it translates as super cute in the photos, so if we ask you do do this, just go with it and worry about your eyesight later ! LOL
I love this pose, huggin’ it out. 🙂
Plus, how gorgeous is this backdrop? Theresa and Sam got us lovin’ a Boston Seaport Engagement Session!
I was telling a bride yesterday that the engagement session is a lot more intense photo-wise then the wedding day photography. This is because, during the engagement photos, it’s just you and your photographers {no friends, no family, and most importantly no champagne}, so you and you have to try to invent a vibe of casualness.
Walking is a great way to infuse a little naturalness into the photos.
Lil’ pop of daffodils…
I think this one is my favorite. Too cute! I love the little petals all over the brick sidewalk. What a pretty neighborhood Seaport is!
Seaport has it’s own website- check it out here! Thinking of moving to Boston’s seaport neighborhood? Here’s what the official website has to say,
“What makes up a Boston neighborhood’s distinct character? Architecture is part of the equation: Uniform brick feels historic and stately, while a majority-glass setting feels modern and sleek. Nature plays a role too: Well-manicured parks or a faint ocean scent can bring serenity to an otherwise busy metropolis. But, more than anything, it’s the community—the people who live in a place and how they interact with each other—that defines each neighborhood.”
Well, we’re convinced. We’re Seaport fans and more importantly, Sam and Theresa fans. We can’t wait to see what they’ve got up their sleeves for the wedding. We know it will be fabulous, especially because they are working with Marrero Events! Woot -woot!
