When I think about summer in Rhode Island, I think of South County… and when I think of South County I think of Charlestown… and when I think of Charlestown I think of a Shelter Harbor Golf Club Wedding. I can’t help it, I’m a wedding photographer in RI, that’s just the way my brain works!
I love driving up to this pretty building.
We started our day at a beach house nearby and I started snapping Amelia’s bridal accessories by setting up a little shoe shoot for these beauties.
Of course, the best thing to be at a beach house is barefoot!
These cute pink and white robes called our for a roof deck “ladies in robes” shot!
Amelia’s sisters and mother helped her get dressed while the rest of the bridesmaids looked on. Amelia’s mom is so proud of her gorgeous daughter.
I love Amelia’s black and white theme, especially the sash on her gown {by Watters}, the little black dresses for the girls and the white dinner jackets for the groom and the dads.
Tim waited on the walkway to the club for his first look with Amelia. Tim and Amelia were high school sweethearts. I wonder if back in high school they could have ever imagined this day was in their future. I wonder if their parents imagined it? That’s them peeking in the background! They didn’t want to miss this moment and who could blame them? They’ve been in on all the moments leading up to this.
Ameila and Tim – happy, young, and in love! We loved capturing this moment in time for their future generations!!! It felt important as it was happening.
Pretty florals by Stoneblossom.
Pretty Girls in pretty light too!
Hair and Makeup was done by B Lovely.
The bridal party poses overlooking the golf course.
I love the textures of the trees and grasses and rocks at SHGC.
Amelia and Tim’s ceremony was held at the Watch Hill Chapel.
Sweet moments during the ceremony.
My favorite moment is always when the bride and groom walk hand and hand back down the aisle.
Cheers!
I’m always a fan of a convertible bride-ride too!
Lots of kisses to be had!
Arriving back at the Club and taking in the view.
Channeling a little Wes Anderson here…
The climb up to the top of the Club is a bit of a winding and winding challenge… but worth it!
Enjoying the romantic late afternoon sunlight. This is my favorite time to steal ten minutes with the bride and groom.
Cocktail hour and tent decor details. Love that sweets table with vintage family photos, sweet indeed.
I really enjoy the mix of the bold black and white dance floor and the soft pink and green floral arrangements by Stoneblossom. Rentals by Rentals Unlimited. Cake and other sweets by Silver Spoon Bakery.
That dance floor – dreamy!
A sweet homage to the sweethearts!
Amelia and Tim (and their friends) sure now how to make an entrance!
Encore of Wilson Stevens Productions was their band.
This photo is one of my favorites, Tim and the two dapper dads {with martinis, natch}.
A sweet ending to an amazing and beautiful day.
BEHIND THE SNAPS
I enjoy a little “what it looked like in person” vs “what we made it look like in camera” comparison.
Here I am picking burrs out of Amelia’s train. A hazard of nature photos in your bridal gown I guess!
Trish on hair and train duty! I think she just wanted an excuse to run her fingers through Tim’s hair! LOL.
