Hannah and Danny had the perfect October day for their Island House Wedding at Belle Mer.

We started our day at the Newport Lofts where H + D were getting ready in side by side lofts. Clients often ask if we know of a great place to stay in Newport. We love the Newport Lofts, not only are they newly constructed, but they’re also situated conveniently on lower Thames Street and there’s tons of room and lots of great natural light for the photographs.

Hannah and the girls had Lynda Williams on hand for their hair and makeup. Pretty Pretty.

Meanwhile, next door … Danny is getting ready too! The nice thing about having two photographers is that we can cover the bride and the groom simultaneously.

Love this storefront on lower Thames, so fun and Newport-y!

We walked around a little and discovered this pretty little park.

Newport has so much to offer in terms of locations and backgrounds. Mansions and ornate gates are grand and quintessential, but sometimes unexpected anonymous spots like the photo on the right are just perfect. It’s nice to have a little time built in for exploring!
