Two Brides, Three Dogs, One Cat, and One Very Special Wedding Location

November 1, 2018

A Same Sex Wedding in Rhode Island Filled with Love, Laughter, Amazing Families and Great Friends

Photographed by Mariah + Trish : Owner Team

Words cannot begin to describe what an honor it was to photograph Maeve and Kiana’s wedding, but since this is a blog … I will do my best!

First of all, this is the third wedding we’ve done for this very special family. Maeve is the youngest of three daughters and the last (much to our dismay) to get married.

Secondly, Maeve married the most wonderful woman, Kiana. She is Maeve’s equal in all the most important ways; intelligence, values, and zest for life! The minute we met Kiana (at Maeve’s older sister Tessa’s wedding) we started hoping that some day Kiana and Maeve would also walk down the aisle.

I would be remiss not mention that the MOB, Anne has been the mastermind behind all of her daughter’s spectacular soirees. If ever a woman missed her calling as a wedding designer- it’s Anne! Somehow she managed to create three weddings; unique in their own way and undeniably dazzling. Don’t be fooled though, this day was equal parts style and substance. The love and emotions that flowed through this wedding touched everyone lucky enough to be in attendance, including the snap girls. xoxo

Meet the furry little photo-bombers of the day! Stay tuned for some epic cuteness …

Two brides? Two pairs of fabulous shoes!

Our brides; Nell, Maeve, and Tessa – a Snap Hat Trick!

A hat trick is the achievement of a positive feat three times in a game, or another achievement based on the number three!

Simultaneous bride prep!

Kiana’s mom and MOH helping her with her buttons.

Beautiful bridal portraits.

We didn’t plan to photograph Maeve and Kiana like this.

Mariah photographed Maeve (left) downstairs and Trish photographed Kiana (right) upstairs, not knowing what the other was doing!

After some discussion with our friend Jared from Stop Go Love about where to do the first look, we decided to have our brides pop out of the two facing doors on the porch!

It was perfect!

Then we swung around and got this view! Note the photo bomber. 🙂 I guess that’s his spot.

This location is actually Maeve’s family home. We do love a tented wedding!

Family portraits. I can’t say enough about all these wonderful people. #familygoals for sure!

Fur-Photo bombing the family photos.

How sweet are Kiana and her brother?

This is a special photo! From left to right: Nell (the first Snap bride!), the famous MOB Anne, our bride Maeve, Nana (who is wearing the same dress she wore to Anne’s wedding!), and Tessa (second Snap bride).

🙂 Three generations of outstanding women!

The bridal party!

Maeve’s dress called for a full length portrait. She also wore her mother’s veil. Actually, all of the sisters wore it!

Not a bad spot for some nuptials.

Bee -ing thoughtful with the favors and escort cards.

Little State Flower Co. created all of the amazing florals.

Kiana and Maeve created a new last name by combining their last names.

Exquisite Events was on hand to execute all of the carefully chosen details. The tent had a boho-elegant vibe!

Blackstone Caterers catered the event.

Have you ever seen a prettier cake? Isis Cakes created this stunner.

We LOVE everything everything about this.

Processional time!

Photo bombing or helping? A little of both I think.

By the powers invested in Nell… 🙂

Married!

Yes!

Recessional photo bombing too!

Kiana and Maeve went to the balcony for some champagne and then a series of what can only be described as photo magic happened…

The light!

Dreamy!

And then this happened..

This is the family cat. She hangs out on the balcony. I think Maeve told me she’s nineteen. She loves her family.

And she’s a hugger.

LOL

Hey, this would be a great place to toss the bouquets!

Maeve and Kiana took a little stroll on the beach for some just married photos.

A full length portrait of Kiana was in order.

You know what would be great here? A little sailboat on the horizon!

Cocktails and candids!

Candles lit and champagne poured, it’s party time people!

If only there were a wooded lantern path to sparkle and delight the guests…

These women like a good party.

First dance adorableness.

Family dance time.

Cheers!

This is what love looks like.

Maeve and her clone, Nana listening to the toasts.

Forget Dancing with the Stars… it’s Dancing with the Dads!

So sweet.

Why? Why did it have to end?

So Maeve and Kiana could start their real adventure of course!

All the hugs and kisses in the world to these beautiful people. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to photograph not one but three of the most important days in your family’s history. We are so thrilled to know these photos will be displayed all over your lovely home. Enjoy! – Mariah and Trish
