Of course, you’re going to need the right outfits. I love Amelia’s breezy gauzy white dress and Tim’s baby blue shirt to match those blue eyes. Perfect!

So the beach portrait… here’s my thoughts on that… the beach itself is kind of boring. Flat sand, flat water, flat horizon… not much of interest going on there. That is why I LOVE a spot like Third Beach as an alternative. Tall beach grasses, rickety fencing, shabby little cabana buildings, meandering paths, marshes… the textures, colors, and quality of light is just so dreamy. We barely stepped foot on the beach because all of the interesting stuff is happening around the parking lot and on the side of the road!

Amelia and Tim were adorable. They drove from CT for their engagement session so I was so happy they were rewarded with this perfect summer evening. Amelia doesn’t love to be picked up, but she was willing to give it a go because she trusts the Snap Girls. Besides, when you have a nice, tall, strong fella like Tim why not? Getting a little lift now in then makes you feel very extra girly!

P.S. We have a trick for picture perfect lift and kiss moments- we’ll teach you! Tim didn’t need much instruction, he’s got it down!
