Nancy loves Ben, Ben loves Nancy, they both love their dog Pippa, and we love an Oceancliff wedding! This was a regular love fest filled with sweet touches, lots of surprises, and funny moments.
Animal lover/ veterinarian/ and thoughtful person, Nancy donated her stunning centerpieces to an animal shelter’s annual banquet the day after the wedding. I always feel sad to think the beautiful arrangements are only enjoyed for one evening, especially these arrangements because the peonies came all the way from Alaska which is the only place where peonies are still blooming. What a sweet touch that was!
Nancy’s mom Sue surprised Nancy and Ben with a life size photo of their dog Pippa, the next best thing to actually having Pippa at the wedding. We were pretty happy and amused to get a funny “portrait” of the three of them.
Ben’s best man gave a great toast about him throwing a party just to have an excuse to invite Nancy over. In her toast, Nancy’s sister revealed that Ben told her he “never had a second thought about marrying Nancy. He always knew she was the one for him.” Sweet touch indeed.
Nancy’s mom Sue surprised us all {again} by wearing a sparkly dress, high heels, and {gasp} makeup! This is a lady who just wants to don a comfy pair of sneaks but in true awesome mom fashion is willing to do just about anything to make her daughter happy.
And finally, Mother nature surprised everyone with the most dramatic sunset we’ve seen all summer and then held off raining until we were literally in our car driving away.
