The best man said it best in his toast at Kristin and Kevin’s Belle Mer wedding, “Everyone that meets Kevin loves him. He’s got that great big open smile and infectious laugh.” So, it’s no surprise that boarding the Ascela train to work Kristin scanned the crowd of already seated commuters and chose an open seat next to Kevin for herself. According to reliable sources, Kevin was instantly smitten but had a hard time coming up with a conversation starter. This is hard to believe knowing Kevin, but then again, Kristin’s beauty may have been a bit of a roadblock to his normally casual manner.
Kristin’s dad was waiting to help Kristin with her bags on the platform (so sweet!) and thought, “Who is this suave guy chatting up my daughter?!” Thankfully, even with the intimidating beauty of Kristin and her intimidating dad, Kevin managed to secure Kristin’s phone number before parting ways.
Kristin’s mom told us that Kristin has a tendency to “run a bit late” and we both wondered what would have happened had someone else plunked down in that seat next to Kevin? Would we still be here celebrating their Belle Mer wedding? Maybe not.
Fate, thank you fate for intervening on behalf of Kristin and Kevin. You not only provided us with a beautiful Belle Mer wedding, but a great story that restores our faith in love at first sight AND commuting to work!
