We thought we had utilized every inch of downtown Newport engagement session real estate. That is until Kate asked us to meet her and Joe at Waites Wharf. I may be divulging a well kept “locals only” secret here but Waites Wharf is a really cool spot. In fact, Kate and Joe met each other while working at separate bars directly across the wharf from one another. The first picture below was taken smack dab in the middle of the two bars with Kate and Joe on their respective sides. Kate, a Salve girl was used to getting everything she needed within a one block radius of her apartment which included her job on Waites Wharf and also libations and snacks at O’Brien’s Pub and Gary’s Handy Lunch. Why shouldn’t she be able to find a husband in a one block radius too?! Now that’s convenience! We took a little stroll with Kate and Joe around the boat yard, the boat launch, and the yachting restoration back-lot and found ourselves some very nautical backdrops. Kate and Joe are full of zest and humor and good nature. Joe didn’t even get mad when we tried to make off with his wallet! We are looking forward to their “not” humid November wedding at Oceancliff.
LOVE the photos!! Cant wait for the wedding!!

Not only do you both do beautiful work but you are so fun to be around. We are so lucky to have you as our photographers and can’t wait to see you on the big day!
