Kate and Thom had a super cozy and intimate Blithewold wedding while a hurricane – turned tropical storm relentlessly dumped rain on their big day.
These two seemed pretty unphased by the nasty weather. They were all smiles and enthusiasm… to see each other … to be with family … and to spend time with their guests. They had a few days to get used to the idea of the storm, watching the weather on their phones second by second, but by the time the day of the wedding rolled around Kate and Thom just rolled with it.
It’s easy feel at ease about the weather in a venue like Blithewold. The inside of the mansion has so many lovely rooms. There’s a gorgeous stair case, lots of great natural light, and a big deep covered porch that lets you feel like you are outside on the worst of days. Although they probably imagined their ceremony in the garden, the living room was the perfect place to exchange their vows.
The deer were the only visitors who got to enjoy Blithewold’s sprawling lawn but no matter, the party was in full swing inside the tent!
