Megan and Patrizio’s Foggy Newport Engagement Session

It was a gorgeous sunny day in Providence, 83 degrees in fact, when Trish and I set off to Newport to photograph Megan and Patrizio. As we came over the bridge, we were greeted by a thick wall of fog (it was also about 20 degrees cooler)!

Fog is a cool weather element for photos. It’s soft and romantic and gives everything an ethereal quality. Megan and Patrizio were a little chilly, but otherwise unfazed by the unexpected weather. They were game to make the most of their foggy Newport engagement session. I love that they pretended it was warm and embraced the day. Now that’s how to make memorable photos!

Snap Tip: Sometimes a seeming weather disaster can lend really cool images. If the sun disappears, or the temp drops, just roll with the thunder and let’s see what we can come up with!
