Normally we don’t have a spare second during the summer months for anything but wedding photography, but we’ve often thought how nice it would be to see our couple’s after their weddings when their families start to grow. If there’s a silver lining in the debacle that is 2020, it’s that we’ve been connecting with some old friends! Jay and Laura were engaged it 2013, got married in 2014, and had their beautiful baby boy this spring. We were thrilled to meet them for an family portrait! Engagements, Weddings, and Babies … oh my!

First Came Love

We photographed Jay and Laura at and around the Boston Public Garden  7 years ago. 🙂 We can’t believe that much time has gone by! It really seems like yesterday.

 

It was a gorgeous evening in the garden. Love was certainly in the air!

 

Then Came Marriage

The following summer, Laura and Jay got married at one of our favorite places in Rhode Island – Block Island! It seems like yesterday we were cruising around the island taking photos!

It was such a memorable weekend, it still stands out in our minds as an all-time favorite.

 

Sunset at The Atlantic Inn 🙂 We were certain these two had a bright future ahead of them.

 

Then came Baby!

And, we were right!

We thought it fitting to go back to the spot where it all began, the Boston Public Garden! How cute is this nugget?!

 

Meet baby Declan. It’s so heart-warming to watch families grow.

 

Laura and Jay are going to be amazing parents. They are so calm and competent, even if they don’t always feel that way!

I don’t envy them having a newborn during a pandemic though, it must have been really hard. They seem to be starting to hit their stride now though.

Plus, Laura has amazing baby soothing skills!

 

Two was nice, but three is awesome!
