“Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.” ~ Oprah Winfrey
Courtney and Jeff have no shortage of friends. Really awesome friends. Funny, smart, smart-ass, sassy, easy going, good looking, stand-by-your-side-forever kind of friends. These friends literally took the bus {trolley} with Courtney and Jeff when the limo {vintage car} broke down {over heated}. What kind of couple has so many quality people in their lives? Magnetic people that’s who!
We can’t resist the charms of Courtney and Jeff either and consider ourselves extenda-friends. Not top tier of course, but more like fringe friend wanna-be’s.
We have to mention our love for Courney’s mom Bernadette as well. Bernie, {if we may be so bold as to call you Bernie} you are fantastic and we only hope to someday be half the mom/wedding planner that you are. Our hats off to you! You are enthusiastic, kind, and hilarious. You run a tight ship {someone’s got to} and we appreciate all things that make you uniquely Bernie.
Acknowledgements and compliments to the other amazing vendors that made this wedding so beautiful. First of all, Wendy Joblon of Wendy Joblon Events, seamless perfection as usual. Stoneblossom for the gorgeous bouquets and table arrangements, you took our breath away! The setting of the venue, Oceancliff is not only stunning {how about that sunset?}, but the staff is stellar and the food is delicious. The very impressive and very sparkly cake was a work of art created by the grand master of cakes, Mark Soliday of Confectionery Designs. And last but not least, the crème de la crème of Boston bands, Beantown. The party was amazing, and your lighting made our photos sing! Thank you! You all made it a magical day/evening Newport wedding! Applause!
Needless to say, this group was a lively bunch providing us with LOTS of blooper material for our next installment of BEHIND THE SNAPS!
I’d like to share with you a little bit about all the different horse heads, err I mean hats that Trish and I wear during the course of a wedding. It is literally never a dull moment.
We charm the smaller members of your wedding party, or in this case the big-small ones. Here’s Trish cozying up to Big Will our ring bearer.
We practice mad-tailoring skills. Can’t even begin to tell you how many buttons and dresses we’ve sewn. What can I say, it’s all in a day’s work.
We stay calm in the face of disaster. In this case, it’s Wendy’s lovely assistant “staying calm and pouring on.” Hee-Hee. Sorry Cathy, but the photos were too funny!
We think on our feet, picking our photo locations on the fly.
We think outside the box. Trust us, just go with it.
We make time for “horsing around.” Taking the “formal” photos is fun! We’ve heard many nightmare stories about mean dictator photographers. This is NOT our style.
We notice the little things.
We make lots of new friends. {And that’s the best part of this job}.
Absolutely beautiful ladies! Our wedding was perfect. Couldn’t have had such a wonderful day without Wendy Joblon, Stoneblossom, Confectionary Designs, Beantown and OceanCliff!!
Omg…so gorgeous…LOVE!!!!!!
