Don’t you love it when someone who works behind the scenes finally gets their well deserved day in the spotlight? Me too! Stephanie and Lou’s winter wedding at Rosecliff Mansion was just such a day. In their professions, both Stephanie and Lou work hard to make special events extra wonderful for their patrons. Stephanie is a fabulous restaurant manager at Castle Hill Inn and Lou is an ultra talented chef at Castle Hill Inn as well. So many people have been lucky to enjoy the culinary and hospitality expertise of Stephanie and Lou, so we felt they were extra deserving to have a beautiful and perfect wedding day themselves. Plus, they’re two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet so extra karma points for them for that too!
We started the day with Stephanie at The Chanler, in my opinion on of the most romantic places to stay in Newport. This little lion statue struck my fancy as a prop for the wedding rings because it reminded me of the iconic Rosecliff Mansion lions.
Plus, Stephanie is RAWR.
Stephanie had a very sweet first look with her dad which ruined everyone’s mascara. I love how Stephanie and her mom are looking at each other on the photo to the right. Such gorgeous ladies!
Stephanie and Lou had their first look in the Rose Garden. It was a chilly afternoon and because it was overcast we were losing light quickly… but not romance, we did not run out of romance. No sirree, plenty of that.
You two look gooood with a mansion as your background.
Such a bombshell – this one!
We took full advantage of the early evening blue light and soft amber glow coming from inside the mansion. I love this time of day!
The ladies pose with the a fore mentioned lion.
And some other cool cats.
Squeaking literally the last shreds of light from the day, so winter wedding fabulous!
And then… inside to the stunning staircase for family formals.
The mood Stephanie was trying to create for the wedding was, “The Glamour of the Gilded Age.” Nailed it. Floral design by Cherry Hill Flowers.
Such a pretty and delicate cake by Confectionery Designs. Love how it mimics the lace illustration on the menu card.
What does a fine dining chef want as his wedding meal? There’s a cheat sheet for you below. You’re welcome. Yummmm… and BTW, Lou chose Blackstone to cater his event. That says a lot about how fabulous they are!
The ceremony was held in the beautiful Salon. The double chandeliers are amazing.
The detail of the ceiling and the paintings makes this room extra special.
Married. I love that this photo looks straight out of the 1950’s.
Stephanie and Lou share a first dance in the ballroom.
Toasting the newlyweds with a special bottle of bubbly.
Both Lou and Stephanie have super loving families. I love these sweet parent dance photos.
Stephanie and Lou truly created a romantic and memorable night. We’re so happy that such deserving people who are so in love had the wedding they dreamed of!
Stephanie and Lou- you guys are adorable together. We love that you found each other and that you complement each other so perfectly! Just like the ingredients in a fine meal! Speaking of fine meals- we’ll be up to see you soon at CH!
This blog post is making me hungry!
XO Mariah and Trish
