Kate and Byron’s Newport spring wedding officially kicks off our spring season here at Snap, and it couldn’t have been a prettier or a springier day. With temps in the 70’s, warm sunshine, flowers bursting with color, and a beautiful fresh face like Kate’s to photograph, we happily said goodbye to the long winter! Kate and Byron designed a nautical theme around their yacht club wedding, fitting for a couple that so loves the ocean.
We had a fabulous team to work with led by Stasia Anthony at Exquisite Events. Sayles Livingston designed the amazing bouquets and those absolutely stunning ceremony and reception arrangements. Jane Sincere from Femme Fatale Salon provided the lovely hair and natural makeup design. The adorable nautical save the dates and invitations were done by Weddings and Wellies. Wondering about that tempting dessert table? Sweets provided by Confectionery Designs, of course! Last but certainly not least, SoHo band kept everyone on the dance floor!
Kate tends to be a bit on the camera shy side, by I think she warmed to us. It was hard to keep our distance from her like little moths to a flame! She’s the absolute epitome of classic beauty and simple elegance. Trish and I were in love with her lace topped dress, so flowy and feminine! She and Byron are so natural together and shared so many little laughs together that it was easy to snap relaxed photos of them. My favorite shots of are them moments after the ceremony… champagne in hand, soaking up the warm afternoon sun, the breathtaking view and each others company (with us peeking through the window of course…there’s that moth thing again).
Congratulations Kate and Byron. Thank you for including us in your beautiful Newport spring wedding and for not running away from our cameras, you’re naturals!
We are Jills of all trades… here I am lending my bobby pinning expertise to the cause. Trish is caught in the act of working her magic on the dining room details.
