Holly and Chris threw a classic Newport wedding, making stops and taking photos at three of the most beautiful locations in town; St Mary’s Church, The Elms Mansion, and Belle Mer’s Water Salon.
What better way to give the guests a preview of the wedding weekend to come then including a vintage illustration of Newport Harbor as their invitation liner?

The beautiful bride, Holly.
Her makeup and hair, so lovely!
Is it just me or does Holly look a little bit like that snap chat filter that makes you look like a pretty little deer? Those eyes! No filter needed.
The gown is like another member of the bridal party. 🙂 It has a life of it’s own.
Holly’s Gown: Le Spose Di Gio
I {heart} this photo. Holly and her friends are so adorable. Holly said the “getting ready” portion of the day was really fun for her. How could it not be with friends like this?
Holly and Chris wrote notes to one another and exchanged gifts the morning of the wedding.
Holly’s mom helping her into her gown.
The girls approve!
Holly’s favorite accessory was the charm of her sister on her bouquet. This is such a sweet way to hold someone close to you that you’ve lost. Holly’s sister would have been the maid of honor, so Holly chose to have only bridesmaids by her side.
Bouquet: Stoneblossom
Modern Day Newport Harbor.
Chris gave the groomsmen and the dads monogrammed shaving kits. What a great man gift!
Chris, his brother the best man, and his dad all had matching cuff links that Chris’ mom gave them that morning.
Dapper.
Brothers. 🙂
Holly told us that she and Chris were both pretty nervous for the actual ceremony because, “Not only is St Mary’s a historic church, JFK and Jackie were married there so we had some big shoes to fill!”
Holly says that she’s happy they chose not to do a first look. “When I got to the altar and saw Chris so happy in tears and basically trembling it was the BEST moment. I felt so lucky and excited to be marrying him! It was truly an indescribable emotion.”
Holly’s father gives her away while Chris’ parents look on.
I love the look on Chris’s face here.
Married!
So much joy.
Walking back down the aisle as husband and wife.
Stopping for their own iconic photo in the same spot as that other famous couple. I think the body language is better in this shot! Just Sayin’.
Our next stop on the classic Newport Wedding tour was The Elms Mansion for a classic family portrait. This one has both sides of the family- the kids will love this photo someday!
Fun with the bridal party and symmetry…
Showing our personal flair…
Beauties.
Studs.
Strolling this corridor of trees is one of the best shots at The Elms.
Wrapping up our photo sesh.
And finally … to Belle Mer!
Party time has officially arrived.
So naturally, signature cocktails.
Holly and Chris’ romantic, elegant reception in detail!

Waiting to be announced in is always so full of anticipation and fun!
Slaying the first dance.
Fantastic toasts were given by both dads and the best man.
The speech that brought the whole room to it’s feet was given Holly’s “Uncle of Honor,” who stood in for Holly’s sister.
Holly had an adorable dance with her dad.
Sweethearts and sweets.
And that’s a wrap!
