This wedding at The Dorrance in Providence is so pretty and stylish I could have made this blog post double the length.
We knew that our bride Kendra, who works in fashion, has great taste but she’s really outdone herself with her bohemian-city vibe in a palette of lavender, sand, and copper. The fabrics, natural elements, florals, and papers all compliment each other perfectly. We found ourselves “oohing” and “aahing” all day long!
First up, Kendra’s fun modern invitation suite by Paper Perfectionist.
Kendra and her girls looking cute and comfy in their flannel PJ’s. Makeup by Jennifer Hodge of Spectrum Makeup Artistry.
Kendra’s fabulous two piece wedding gown is by BHLDN.
Love this adorable photo of Kendra and the girls. Getting ready together is so fun!
Flowers by Semia knocked it out of the park again. There were antlers and geodes in these bouquets!
Meanwhile Chris and the guys got ready nearby… how fantastic are their bow ties by Brackish Bowties?! I believe these were made of turkey feather and snake skin. Now that’s manly!
Kendra and Chris had their first look at The Biltmore where Kendra was staying. After a cute greeting, we made our way outside for photos.
We had scouted this spot along the river earlier and thought it would be perfect for the formal pictures.
Unfortunately, as soon as we started snapping this area became a wind tunnel full of razor leaves! Razor leaves aren’t actually a real thing- that’s just how they were described by the girls!
Since the hairdos and the nerves of the bride and bridesmaids were in jeopardy, we decided to put the girls back on the trolley and move to another location less hurricane-y. The weather in late fall can be tricky!
Just a quick shot of the boys too before leaving.
Kendra and Chris love The Dean Hotel so we decided to try our luck there.
That is the question!
Having a little fun with the bridal party …
The Dean Hotel is a pretty stylish place. It was perfect for Kendra and Chris’ photos. Sometimes disastrous things like razor leaves can be a blessing in disguise.
City Chic.
The ceremony took place on the campus of Providence College. Kendra and Chris met there.
Happiness.
Mr and Mrs.
Fantastic geode and calligraphy escort cards. I’ve been obsessed with geodes since Kendra’s wedding. I bought a gorgeous green and gold one that matches our office. Kendra you little trend setter!
The only thing better than a signature cocktail is really cool signage for the bar… but I’m a calligraphy nerd so that might just be me.
We stole 10 minutes form the cocktail hour to stroll down Westminster Street. I love the string lights!
Modern Love indeed.
The Dorrance was once a bank. The inside is very ornate, swanky, and unique! Rentals Unlimited provided the sparkly linens.
Inspired and eclectic table arrangements by Flowers by Semia.
The second floor provides a fun birds eye view of the dining area and the dance floor.
Let’s talk about this cake table, a collaboration between Confectionery Designs and Flowers by Semia.
Stunning!
One of Kendra’s favorite moments from the wedding was being introduced in and looking out over her wedding from the balcony.
Another special touch was having the first dance sung by Paul McDonald, an American Idol finalist.
A good time was had by all!
Laughing all day with the one you love… priceless.
Kendra and Chris are fun loving and easy going. They love their friends and family and planned a perfect party full of all things fun and beautiful! We loved documenting it for them!
Phenomenal stuff! Love this wedding and I wasn’t even there…
These images are just splendid!
