Lauren and Alex’s Blithewold Mansion Wedding could not be dampened by the dreary weather. The recipe for a successful rainy day wedding? Three quarters super sweet, adorable, laid back couple and one quarter …the best vendors ever! Seriously, this team makes grey day look good! Top notch vendors made this a warm event with a rich fall palette.
Drizzly outside … sparkly inside. I made Lauren’s shoes the background for this pic, stacked up her bling and voila, golden sparkles as far as the lens can see!
Lauren chose a palette of burgundy, gold and warm pinks, perfect for October. I love these colors for fall.
Lauren’s mom was a big part of the planning process. She has such a lovely relationship with her daughter. #momgoals
Alex is as nice as he is cute. Seriously- look at that face. Ben Affleck’s cuter younger brother? Totally possible.
Speaking of totes adorbs…
Flower girl Ava is gearing up to steal the show. Love this sassy girl!
A little drizzle and chill could not keep us from taking photos outside. Luckily, event planner Pamela of PDR events had thought of everything so no shoulders were left with goose bumps.
The breathtaking florals were created by Flowers by Semia.
Bringing the outside in {left}. I love the architecture of Blithewold paired with the natural elements of the beautiful grounds.
Can you stand the sweetness of the photo of the right?!
Note to self… Lauren’s gown is Kelly Faetanini.
Squad.
The rain picked up a bit at this point. Luckily Blithewold has this beautiful big covered porch. The light is fantastic as it is open on three sides and you feel like you are out in the garden even though you are technically inside. The background is green and lovely and the white columns are a nice added element.
A gorgeous setting for the ceremony and the perfect floral accents and printed pieces to pull everything together.
A few umbrellas made the outside ceremony possible.
Married!
So happy!
This is always a favorite moment / photo of mine, coming down the aisle- you can’t beat it for great expressions!
The rain held off so we could take a little walk with Lauren and Alex snapping as we go…
Btw, Lauren’s beautiful, natural bridal makeup was done by Jane Sincere– love her!
This spot reminded us of a woodland fairy wonderland.
One thing about a rainy day … the colors sure pop.
An open field is always romantic, even if it is a little wet.
Lauren and Alex making their way toward cocktail hour. We always try to finish up with photos in time for the bride and groom can catch the end of their cocktail hour.
Pretty details inside the mansion made it festive for the guests.
It was even prettier inside the tent!
Flowers by Semia, Blackstone Catering and Exquisite Events made the reception sparkle!
So fall festive! Love the golden glow-y vision of Lauren, her mom, and the planner, PDR Events.

It was sort of like dancing under the stars with all these twinkly lights.
Harmlessly embarrassing personal stories … check.
The toasts are a great time for great expressions.
Always say YES… to dessert by Confectionery Designs!
Lauren and Alex, ended the evening the way they started the day- sweet and classy start to finish!
XO L + A, we so enjoyed being a part of your beautiful day!
BEHIND THE SNAPS
Some behind the scenes! Clockwise from left: Trish photographing the men, Jane Sincere creating Lauren’s natural bridal makeup, Pamela making sure that Lauren’s train doesn’t drag through the puddles, yours truly ready for any weather during the ceremony, and finally Trish carrying everything including the bouquet and lurking in the bushes!
This is so amazing!!!! It’s so fun to re-live our special day with these photos, you have highlighted some of my absolute favorite moments! We are so grateful!! xoxo Lauren and Alex
Congratulations all over again to the happy couple! I loved working with Lauren and her Mom when creating the floral vision for the wedding. They are a lovely family and their love for one another is apparent in everything they do. The pleasure was all mine on this event! xoxoxox Semia
