Late Summer Wedding at Castle Hill Inn

January 5, 2017

Maria Lisa and Jay has a perfectly sweet late summer wedding at Castle Hill Inn, a relaxed Sunday afternoon in Newport with beautiful warm breezes and lovely sunny skies.

We started the day the day at the Newport Marriott where Maria Lisa and Jay were getting ready. I do love starting the wedding photography with sparkly diamonds!

The nice thing about getting ready at the same location is the consistency in the photographs. I like the nice clean neutral colors in the suites at the Newport Marriott.

Similar backgrounds make for a clean design later in the wedding album. We’re always thinking ahead and always thinking about albums because after all, #albumsr4eva!

This sort of spread is so cute in the album, simultaneous and similar- Love it!

To be honest, Maria Lisa was a little nervous about the whole day coming together. She REALLY doesn’t like being the center of attention. I think a lot of us can relate to that! You can’t tell in these photos that she was a bit freaked out because Jay kept her laughing all day! He was having a lot of fun with his “man posing.”

Obviously Maria Lisa had a unique, stunning vision for her day. We were blown away by these colors and textures.

She had so many pretty details. She’s a floral enthusiast for sure and her work behind the scenes really did pull everything together!

Judy’s Village Flowers was the floral designer and Confectionery Designs created this summer-ific cake.

This cake was an absolute show stopper!

trust us… your jittery nerves really melt away when you are on the altar marrying your sweetheart!

Maria Lisa was like a different woman after the ceremony! We had a great time on our excursion to the Castle Hill Lighthouse. I think anyone would love this classic Newport location for their wedding photography! So pretty, so picturesque! We’re so lucky being wedding photographers in Rhode Island!

A beautiful late summer evening at Castle Hill for sure! We love wandering around and capturing the magic of the venue during this twinkly “blue light” hour. Usually this is about the time you sit down to dinner so it allows us to meander a bit and have some creative fun with the wedding photography.

Trish stole Maria Lisa and Jay from their reception for a few minutes to create this “end of the earth feeling” last photo for them as the fog rolled up from the ocean. Romantic!

We always try to end the evening with a little romance!

Good advice for the rest of your married life I think!

Maria Lisa and Jay- May you have many many magical evening of romance in your future! XO The Snap Girls
