Fall Engagement Sessions in Rhode Island

November 28, 2017

Since we’re coming up on the busiest engagement time of the year, I thought it would be fun to post some of our favorite spots for fall engagement sessions in Rhode Island.

We met Alex and Ryan at Salve Regina in Newport. This fabulous tree was still sporting some of it’s beautiful yellow leaves.

Ryan always wanted a fall engagement session. 🙂 He and Alex met at a friend’s get away weekend at camp.

Too cute.

The Cliff Walk, 40 Steps.

Mount Hope Farm in Bristol is another fall fabulous spot. The walk from the barn to the cabin at the far end of the property is chock full of scenery like this.

Katelyn and Matt and their pups are perched perfectly.

Dreamy cabin backdrop, LL Bean up one side and down the other.

Loving the colors and textures of the woods, and those boots too!

Staying warm even though it was bitterly cold on the water.

This was my favorite pic of the day, a super family snuggle shot.

It was a little bit warmer of a day for Sarah and Dan. Unseasonable for October, but we’ll take it!

We started on Bellevue Avenue. It was virtually deserted, which is a nice change from the crowds of summer.

I think maybe Sarah just looks like summer all year round.

Brenton Point was our next stop- and we had a surprise guest join us.

Meet Moose. He’s very happy to be included in the engagement session. He’s quite a ham.

Cute fall outfits, love.

Family Christmas card in the making! 🙂

You can’t beat Blithewold Mansion and Gardens in Bristol for natural beauty. You have to reserve a time to shoot there but it’s well worth the small fee.

Trish had a great time with Loryssa and Tony wandering around the property.

Is this Southern California or Bristol Rhode Island?!

Soaking up some of the late fall sun.

Katie and Steve met us for a classic shoot in Downtown Newport. There’s always TONS of great nooks here for photos and in fall… no tourists (well almost none).

See what I mean? Classic.

This is so New England, love it!

A little fun with architecture.

Our last engagement session of the season was at The Ocean House in Westerly. It was very, very cold and extremely windy. Luckily, the inside of The OH is beautiful and cozy. Tori and Rich happened to be staying there so we were able to snap around the hotel and grounds.

Snuggling by the fireplace? Good idea.

A quick outfit change. You would never know from these photos but it was blustery!

An impressive pumpkin display, now that’s fall festivity at it’s finest.

If you’re getting engaged over this holiday season and planning a Rhode Island wedding your date will most likely fall on the following year. Maybe a fall 2018 engagement session is for you! Keep in mind that late September to late October is perfect for this kind of shoot. Bring on the pumpkin lattes!
